This nice thingy is a variation of the mandelbrot formula, where both the z part and the c part get iterated...

x->x²-y²+a
y->2xy+b
a->a²-b²+x
b->2ab+y

a whole set of interesting results can be found, by just varying the start values of x and y.

In case of this fractal, the initial z is -c

so

x=-a

and

y=-b
